Setting up Archiving

Synopsis:
This document explains how to set up archiving to collect a copy of all incoming mail to your mail server. This is often refered to as journaling.

More Information:

Mail Archiving can be setup within MailSite to save all incoming mail to a designated folder.

MailSite will create a folder under this directory with the name equal to the current date. MailSite will copy every incoming MSG message file and corresponding RCP recipients file into this directory.

To set this up please follow the instructions below:

  • Create the new folder on your computer that you wish to archive the mail into
  • Within the MailSite Console go to Server > Agents and specify the new folder in the Archive Directory box. Press OK.
  • Restart the SMTPRA service to ensure this change is recognized.
